Simple replacement for a 1994 Ford F150. There are several youtube videos with helpful hints for installation, and I unfortunately did not do them correctly and managed to drop the lock rod down into the door and had to remove the skin to fish it back out the lock hole and click it into the arm. Even with that error, replacing both locks only took 15 minutes (I've had the internal panel of the door off before to fix the window motor, so I knew what I was in for there making it go quicker). If you don't drop the lock rod, its a 5 minute job - pull the clip with a flat blade screwdriver, slide the old lock out, slide it off the rod, pop the new lock arm onto the rod, slide it back in the hole and push the clip back in. Done. The only modification suggestion I can make is either paint, or texture one of your keys so you don't accidentally cram your ignition key in the lock in a hurry, but that's a known Ford issue. It would be nice if they had made the keys different shape originally, but meh, it is what it is, and this key matches the stock Ford key fob exactly.
